Last week, Wall Street confirmed what we already knew to be true:  US debt is out of control.  After the now infamous debt ceiling deal was signed, Standard & Poor’s immediately moved to downgrade the credit rating of the United States.

In what media outlets are calling a "redistricting bonanza," North Carolina GOP legislators have approved new US Congressional districts that target four current Democrat office-holders.  The redrawn lines have jeopardized the incumbencies of current Congressmen Larry Kissell (D-8), Brad Miller (D-13), Mike McIntyre (D-7), and Heath Shuler (D-11).

The potential for North Carolina to pick up three to four seats in the 2012 elections will keep national attention riveted on Congressional campaigns in the Old North State.

No Leadership, Less Courage, More Taxes, Spending, & Debt

During the last week, members of Congress have bargained away the economic stability of America.  What are the consequences of the debt ceiling deal between the Democrats and Republicans in Washington?

For America, it's the loss of a stellar AAA credit rating, and the end of the "American era."

For the American, it's the loss of a job and the promise of skyrocketing inflation and interest rates.

For our children, it's insurmountable debt, socialist-structured government, and the death of the American dream.
